Seasonal CDL Trolley Tour Driver Guide — $22–$25/hr + Tips

Drive a trolley through downtown Anchorage while narrating sightseeing tours for visitors from around the world. This seasonal role blends safe commercial driving with storytelling, humor, and hospitality to give guests a memorable Alaska experience.

Schedule

• Full-time, part-time and seasonal positions available

• Season runs May 1 through October 1, 2027

• Paid training runs April 1 through May 1

• Extra hours may be available during peak weeks

What you'll haul

• No freight, no cargo: you're driving passengers on narrated city tours

• Routes cover Anchorage sightseeing stops, with groups ranging from families to cruise passengers

What you'll do

• Operate the trolley safely, following traffic laws and company procedures

• Narrate Anchorage's history, wildlife, culture and landmarks for guests

• Help passengers board and exit, and manage their questions with patience and good humor

• Run pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, keep the trolley clean, and report any maintenance issues

• Keep tours running on schedule, with on-time departures and smooth loading/unloading

• Work as part of a crew that supports each other during busy periods

Requirements

• Valid Alaska CDL with Passenger Endorsement

• Must meet licensing requirements to operate passenger vehicles

• Comfortable speaking to groups and engaging with the public

• Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset

• Able to stay calm and professional during busy, chaotic moments downtown

• Willing to learn the company's tour content and procedures

• Available to work between May 1 and October 1, 2027

• Prior tour guide experience is a plus but not required
