About this job
Our company is looking for a Regional Truck Driver to haul a mix of freight types across regional routes using manual transmission tractor-trailers.
Pay
- $0.45 - $0.73 per mile
What you'll haul
- Food grade tanker, dry van, reefer, and flatbed loads
What you'll do
- Drive manual transmission tractor-trailers on regional routes, following traffic and safety laws
- Load and unload freight, using forklifts when needed
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Keep accurate logs of hours, routes, and cargo per DOT rules
- Stay in contact with dispatch on routes, schedules, and issues
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage
Requirements
- Valid CDL with endorsements relevant to the cargo you haul (for example, tanker endorsement)
- Experience driving trucks with manual transmissions
- Experience with long-haul or route driving
- Familiarity with refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and dump freight handling
- Knowledge of freight transportation safety protocols
- Experience with forklifts or roll-off trucks is a plus
CDL A is preferred. This is an on-the-road position.
