About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A truck driver to run freight between Florida and Georgia, based near Lithia Springs, GA. You'll be out every other night at most, with no back-to-back layovers, so you won't be gone five days straight.

- $1,400.00 - $1,700.00 per week

What you'll haul
- Freight moving primarily between Florida and Georgia
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license
- 5 years of commercial driving experience, preferred
- Comfortable handling manual transmission tractor-trailers
- Clean motor vehicle record and clean background check
- Must pass a DOT drug screening
- Understanding of cargo securement and safe driving practices
What you'll do
- Drive manual-transmission trucks on assigned routes while following traffic laws and safety rules
- Check your vehicle before and after each trip for maintenance or safety issues
- Keep accurate hours-of-service logs and delivery paperwork
- Stay in contact with dispatch, warehouse staff and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries and route changes
- Make sure all cargo is properly secured for transit
