About this job

This is a dedicated regional dry van job for CDL-A drivers hauling freight in the Midwest, with you home every week. Drivers average about 970 miles a week and run three turns, unloading deliveries themselves with rollers.

Pay

  • Average pay is $1,900 a week, with top earners at $2,000 a week.
  • That works out to roughly $93,600 a year on average and up to $104,000 at the top.
  • Your pay comes from mileage, unload pay and backhaul pay.

Home time and schedule

  • You are home each week for a 34-hour reset, usually Saturday–Sunday or Sunday–Monday.
  • Work days are Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday, depending on your location.

What you'll haul

  • Dedicated dry freight moving through Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana and northern Kentucky.
  • Loads have 3–5 stops each. This is touch freight, so you unload dry goods with rollers.
  • You drive 53-foot dry van trailers pulled by automatic sleeper trucks.
  • Taking the truck home may be possible if the parking spot is safe and secure.

Requirements

  • A valid Class A CDL and at least 3 months of CDL-A experience.
  • A clean driving record and a valid DOT medical card.
  • SAP drivers cannot be considered.
  • You must be able to unload freight with rollers and run regional routes safely.

The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
