About this job
Our company is hiring a CDL Class A driver to haul refrigerated freight on regional and local runs out of Gainesville, Georgia. You will cover South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and nearby areas, and all loads are no-touch.
Pay and contract
- $30 per hour
- 1099 contract position
- Flexible schedule that depends on how many loads are available and the hours they require
What you'll do
- Run a 53-foot reefer trailer from the pickup point to the delivery point
- Stay with the unit while the freight is loaded
- You never handle the freight yourself
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks efficiently and follow all traffic rules, routes and regulations
Home base
- The trucks are based in Gainesville, Georgia
- You must have your own way to get to the vehicles
Requirements
- A current, valid CDL Class A
- A current DOT medical card
- A clean record: no accidents, incidents or out-of-service orders over the past 3 years
- Working knowledge of Motive, Trucker Path, MacroPoint and any other tracking apps the customers require
- A responsible, tidy and careful approach to operating the truck
