About this job
Our company is hiring a part-time truck driver in Hanna, Alberta. You will deliver products to farmers, ranchers, acreage owners and businesses across the local trading area, and help out around the facility when you are not on the road.
What you'll do
- Drive deliveries safely in and around Hanna and build good relationships with customers
- Load, unload and secure products according to transportation rules and safe work practices
- Carry out pre-trip, post-trip and regular vehicle checks and keep your logs and records accurate
- Help with shipping, receiving, inventory and yard work, plus seasonal tasks like snow removal
- Take a turn in the after-hours on-call rotation when needed
Requirements
- Class 1 licence, or Class 3 with a Q endorsement
- A clean, acceptable driver's abstract
- Comfortable lifting products up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and working outdoors in all weather
- Mechanical know-how for basic inspections and minor troubleshooting
- Experience finding your way on rural routes with both digital and paper maps
- Basic computer skills and good communication and customer service
- Fluid hauling experience is an asset; agriculture, petroleum or commercial delivery background is preferred
- This is a safety-sensitive role, so you must pass a drug and alcohol screening before starting
