Our company, a janitorial supply company, needs a dependable part-time driver to handle city pickups and local deliveries near their warehouse.
Pay
- $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule
- Part-time, weekdays only, no weekends
- Warehouse pickups two days a week, plus one additional day for local skid deliveries
- Possible extra hours during busy seasons
What you'll haul
- Skid deliveries using a straight truck in industrial areas like Orillia, Vaughan, Etobicoke, Mississauga and Oakville
Requirements
- Valid Class D or DZ license
- 1 to 2+ years of commercial or local driving experience
- Clean driver's abstract
- Comfortable lifting 50-65 lbs for loading and unloading
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Strong verbal and written English, comfortable using a cell phone for ELD and delivery apps
- Punctual, safety-focused, and able to work independently while keeping the truck clean
Responsibilities
- Drive safely and follow all road rules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Load, unload and secure cargo
- Keep accurate electronic logs and delivery paperwork
- Communicate with the team on schedules and delivery status
- Treat vendors and clients professionally on-site
- Flag any mechanical issues right away
