Part-Time CDL-A Delivery Driver — $31/hr, Home Daily, Seasonal

Our company Book Fairs needs a part-time, seasonal CDL-A driver in La Vista, NE to shuttle book fairs between branches and schools. You'll be home the same day, driving through city, suburban and rural areas.

Pay

• $31 per hour

• Day shifts, weekdays

What you'll haul

• Books and supplies for school book fairs, moving freight between branch locations, hubs and schools

• You'll drive a semi tractor (single or tandem axle, manual or automatic) paired with a 48' or 53' trailer for branch-to-hub runs, and a pup trailer for school deliveries

• Coupling, uncoupling and pre-trip checks on the fifth wheel, air lines, brake lines and landing gear are part of the job

• Loading and unloading happens at both branches and schools, sometimes with mechanical assistance, sometimes without

Schedule

• Part-time, seasonal work with summers off

• Occasional overnight routes

Requirements

• CDL-A with air brake endorsement, revalidated through an approved driving school

• At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience

• Minimum age 21

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Must pass a drug and alcohol screen, MVR check, criminal background check and DOT physical

• Able to operate vehicles over 26,001 GVW with trailers over 10,000 lbs, combined GVW up to 80,000 lbs

• Must meet FMCSA English language requirements for reading signs, communicating with the public and completing reports
