Our company in Winnipeg, MB is looking for owner operators to run their own truck and handle freight hauling across various routes. You'll work independently while staying connected with dispatch to keep deliveries on schedule.
What you'll do
- Drive your own commercial vehicle to deliver freight on time, following all traffic and safety laws
- Check your truck regularly to catch mechanical problems early and keep it running well
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, shipping paperwork and logs
- Work with dispatch to plan efficient routes and hit delivery windows
- Handle minor repairs or troubleshooting on the road when needed
- Follow all applicable transportation rules and safety requirements
Requirements
- Valid CDL with a clean driving record
- Background in commercial driving and heavy equipment
- Familiarity with freight handling and safety procedures
- Basic mechanical know-how for roadside fixes
- Good organizational and communication skills
- This is a team position; at least 1 year of experience required
Pay
$50,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
