OTR CDL-A Truck Driver — $0.81/Mile Average, No Tarping

This is a private fleet OTR position hauling freight for American Bath Group and MAAX Spas out of the Chandler, AZ area, with drivers out on the road for about two weeks at a stretch across the lower 48 states.

Pay

• Total pay works out to about $0.81 per mile on average, factoring in mileage, drops, and hourly pay, assuming around 130,000 miles driven per year

• Typical weekly mileage runs 2,500-2,700 miles

• Paid weekly by direct deposit

• Extra pay for on-duty time that isn't driving, plus a per-stop drop fee

• Per diem adds up to more than $10,000 a year on average

• Restart time away from home pays either 16 hours of wages or up to two nights in a hotel

• Quarterly safety and productivity bonus of a penny per mile

• Bonus available for referring other drivers

Home time

Expect to be out for two-week stretches running through the lower 48 states.

What you'll haul

• 53-foot Conestoga step deck trailers, and tarping isn't required

• Newer 2026 Freightliner sleeper tractors, automatic transmission, no slip seating

• Trucks come equipped with a fridge, power inverter, and APU

Requirements

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL

• At least 23 years old

• A minimum of one year of OTR experience handling tandem sleeper tractors and open deck trailers

• Driving record will be reviewed as part of the application
