OTR CDL-A Truck Driver — $0.43–$0.54 per Mile

Our company is looking for an OTR CDL-A driver to run long-haul and regional routes, hauling food grade tanker and flatbed loads in manual transmission tractor-trailers.

Pay

• $0.43 to $0.54 per mile

What you'll haul

• Food grade tanker and flatbed freight, plus other loads such as refrigerated trailers and specialized cargo

• You may need to load and unload freight yourself, sometimes using equipment like forklifts

Responsibilities

• Drive manual transmission tractor-trailers over long distances while following traffic laws and safety rules

• Secure loads properly so nothing shifts or gets damaged in transit

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to stay compliant with DOT standards

• Keep accurate records of your hours, routes and cargo per federal rules

• Stay in touch with dispatch about route changes, delivery timing and any problems on the road

Requirements

• CDL-A preferred, with endorsements matching the freight you'll carry (such as tanker)

• Background operating trucks with manual transmissions

• Experience hauling varied freight types, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker or dump loads

• Comfortable with load and unload tasks; forklift or roll-off truck experience is a plus

• Understanding of safety practices for freight transport and vehicle upkeep
