About this job
Our company, a cabinet manufacturer, is hiring a full-time OTR driver out of Simpsonville, SC. You'll run long-haul routes Monday through Friday, with weekends off.
Pay
- Starting from $0.67 per mile
Home time
- Monday - Friday schedule, typically home for weekends
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer freight, including flatbed and tanker loads
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record
- 2-3 years of commercial truck driving experience, especially long-distance
- Comfortable operating manual transmission trucks
- Familiarity with GPS navigation and cargo handling
- Experience loading and unloading flatbed or tanker freight
- Solid understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Physically able to handle load/unload tasks
Responsibilities
- Safely drive tractor-trailers over long-haul, multi-state routes
- Use GPS and route planning for timely deliveries
- Stage freight for unloading with proper handling
- Follow FMCSA, DOT, and hazardous materials rules
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Keep accurate logs of hours, deliveries, and cargo manifests
