About this job
This is a 1099 contract role for an experienced Class A driver hauling 53' dry vans over the road, based out of City of Industry, CA. You'll run high-mileage long-haul routes with a modern, well-kept truck.
Pay
You're paid per mile as a 1099 contractor, with weekly settlements. Based on current loads, drivers are earning in the range of $2,500 to $3,500 per week, and you'll need to be comfortable logging at least 700 miles a day to hit that range.
What you'll haul
You'll run 53' dry van freight on long-distance lanes, driving a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia with an automatic transmission. The truck comes equipped with a fridge and microwave for life on the road, and the fleet is kept in good mechanical shape.
Requirements
- A valid Class A CDL
- At least 1-2 years of verifiable experience pulling 53' trailers
- A clean driving history, with no major accidents and zero points on your California DMV record
- Fluent in both English and Spanish for dispatch and warehouse communication
- Speaking Chinese is a plus
- Able to get to the company yard in City of Industry, CA
What you'll do
You'll drive long-distance routes safely, keep your ELD logs accurate and DOT-compliant, get freight picked up and delivered on time, and complete full pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
