OTR Box Truck Driver — $24.42–$29.41/hr

Our company needs a dependable driver to run a 26ft box truck on multi-state long-haul routes. You should have at least 1 year of OTR experience and be comfortable with extended time away from home.

• Home time is flexible and depends on dispatch and the routes assigned

• Be ready to be out for several days or weeks at a stretch

What you'll haul

• Freight moved in a 26ft box truck

• You'll need to secure and protect loads so nothing shifts or gets damaged in transit

Requirements

• At least 1 year driving a box truck OTR, 26ft size preferred

• Valid CDL

• Clean driving history with no major violations in the last 3 years

• Must pass a background check and drug test

• Solid understanding of interstate driving and highway safety practices

• Able to properly secure and manage freight loads

• Willing to be on the road for multi-day or multi-week trips

Nice to have: experience with liftgates, pallet jacks, and freight securement equipment; a DOT medical card or the ability to get one; familiarity with ELDs or digital trip logs; and prior experience working with brokers or dispatchers.

Day to day, you'll run interstate routes while following DOT rules and company procedures, do pre- and post-trip inspections and flag any maintenance problems, keep trip logs and delivery paperwork current, stay in touch with dispatch about routing, delays and delivery updates, hit your scheduled pickup and delivery windows, and present yourself professionally on the job.
