Samee Metal Trading is hiring a solo B-Train driver with an AZ licence to haul steel coils on dedicated regional corridors, domestic runs only. The position is for independent contractors and pays by the mile.
Pay
- $0.70 per mile, plus tarping fees for pick up and drop off
- Listing shows an estimate of $127,400 a year and the company points to steady, high-volume mileage
What you'll do
- Run B-Train combinations across Canada
- Chain, strap, tarp and secure coil loads
- Keep your ELD logs accurate and stay within Hours of Service rules
- Do thorough pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections
- Represent the company well at customer sites and metal yards
Requirements
- A valid, clean AZ licence, plus a current driver's abstract and CVOR
- At least 2 years of steel coil hauling that can be verified
- A Letter of Employment or Insurance Experience Letter showing a minimum of 6 months hauling coils
- Solid B-Train handling, weight distribution and heavy-haul securement skills
- Independent contractor status with a valid HST number
