Non-DOT Yard Driver — 1st or 2nd Shift

Our company Supply Chain in Lathrop, CA is looking for a Non-DOT Yard Driver to move trailers around the yard and keep dock operations running smoothly. This is a 1st or 2nd shift role working with switching equipment, tractors and straight trucks within the facility grounds.

What you'll do

• Move trailers and equipment between docks, keeping the yard operating safely and efficiently

• Keep switch equipment fueled and in good running order

• Load and unload trucks, checking product counts and condition, and flag any overages, shortages or damage

• Walk the yard daily to check on conditions

• Secure loads so they meet local, state and federal requirements

• Keep accurate logs and records per company policy

• Check tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water on equipment, and let your supervisor know about any repairs needed

• Follow all company policies and procedures

Pay

Pay rate not yet specified. Full-time associates can also qualify for monthly bonuses tied to performance and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least one year of verifiable experience driving or switching a commercial tractor
