Non-CDL Local Delivery Truck Driver

Drive a daily local delivery route in Kahului, HI, making frequent stops to unload product for customers. You'll pick up a pre-loaded truck from the overnight cross-dock, run your assigned stops, and bring the empty truck back to the lot at day's end. You may occasionally help load trucks or palletize product as needed.

What you'll do

• Complete your route within the expected time

• Unload freight by hand or hand truck and place it in customer storage areas, sometimes down ramps, stairs or docks, in any weather

• Regularly lift, carry or push items weighing 1 to 75 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds), reach as high as 72 inches to handle pallets, and bend or twist frequently while loading and unloading

• Confirm each delivery with the customer and get the required signature

• Report invoice mismatches to management and flag any errors, returns or short shipments

• Resolve customer concerns professionally

• Keep equipment in good condition, follow written safety procedures, and complete pre-trip and post-trip checks per DOT and company rules

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent

• At least one year of route delivery experience, or comparable experience driving a straight truck

• Valid driver's license

• Able to read and understand English

• Comfortable driving in varied traffic and weather

• Able to meet company productivity and accuracy (cases per error) targets

• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

• Capable of organizing your own workload without close supervision

• Working knowledge of product handling and inventory control, or willingness to learn

• Good communication across departments on routing, safety and customer issues

• Comfortable with basic math; cash-handling experience is a plus
