New CDL-A OTR Driver — Paid Training, No Experience Required

Swift Transportation is bringing on new CDL-A holders for a paid OTR trainee position out of Otay Mesa, CA. You'll ride with an experienced mentor to gain real road time and build toward a solo driving career.

Pay

• Average pay of $850 per week while you're in training

• Once you move up to solo OTR driving, you're guaranteed at least $1,000 per week for your first 90 days (conditions apply, so ask a recruiter for the full details)

• After training, your pay structure shifts to a trip, hourly, or daily rate depending on the role

Training

• Paid, hands-on OTR training riding alongside a seasoned driver mentor

• No prior driving experience needed, just your CDL-A

• Opens the door to career advancement once you finish the program

Home time

• Home monthly

Schedule

• Be ready to work some holidays and weekends

Equipment

• Drive newer trucks backed by support available across the country

• Fuel up at a newly expanded network of stations, several offering free showers

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a current Class A CDL

• Strong backing skills

• No DUI in the past 10 years (CDL-A holders) or past 5 years (non-CDL-A holders)

• No more than one preventable on-road or DOT-reportable accident in the last 2 years, and no more than 3 preventable accidents total in that span

• No major preventable accidents within the last 5 years

• No serious traffic violations in the last year, and no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years

• Able to pass a DOT physical exam and drug screening

• No drug-related conviction in the last 5 years

• No illegal drug use or positive/refused drug tests in the last 10 years for CDL-A or CLP holders
