Moving Team Lead / Driver — $25–$27/hr

Genie Senior Services in Calgary North is hiring an on-call Moving Team Lead who also drives the company pickup truck and trailer. You would lead a crew on residential moves for seniors and families, working alongside them and acting as the client's main on-site contact.

Pay and hours

• $25.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience

• On-call work based on demand, averaging up to approximately 30 hours a week (20–30 listed)

• Workdays start at the company home base in SW Calgary, and you must arrive there on time

What you'll do

• Work with and direct the moving crew, handing out tasks and keeping the job safe and efficient

• Be the point of contact for clients and keep communication professional

• Load, haul and unload furniture and household goods with care, making sure items are wrapped and secured

• Keep the truck, trailer and work area tidy

• Wear the branded clothing the company provides

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 license, a clean driving record with your abstract on hand, and the ability to be bonded

• Comfortable driving and backing up a pickup with a 16-foot cargo trailer (preferred); moving industry experience is an asset and gets priority

• Previous leadership or team supervision experience

• Able to lift heavy furniture all day and work flexible on-call shifts, weekends included

• Fluent English, legally entitled to work in Canada, and living in or near Calgary

• Non-smoker and non-vaper
