Local Delivery Driver — Halifax, NS Seafood Routes

Fisherman's Market, a Halifax seafood company serving Atlantic Canada and beyond, needs a dependable local driver to run a refrigerated box truck (2500-3500 series) on delivery routes across Halifax Regional Municipality. When you're not on the road, you'll pitch in with warehouse and shipping tasks.

Pay

• $18.00 per hour

• Expected hours: 38.0 to 45.0 per week

What you'll haul

• Fresh, frozen, smoked and salted seafood products delivered to restaurants, institutions and grocery customers

What the job involves

• Check your truck each morning and keep it clean

• Deliver to local restaurant, institution and grocery customers around Halifax

• Between deliveries, help the inside team pick fresh, frozen and dry goods, pack and prepare orders, build shipping boxes, and load or unload trucks

• Use a pallet jack or forklift if you're trained or certified

• Follow safety and product handling procedures

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 licence with a clean driving record

• Local delivery experience is a plus

• Good knowledge of Halifax area roads and routes

• Organized, detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced setting

• Able to work solo or as part of a team

• Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs

• Dependable, on time and safety-minded

• Forklift experience or certification is a plus
