Our company in Fort McMurray, Alberta is hiring a dependable Class 5 driver for waste collection routes, working full-time with pay between $28.00-$30.00 per hour.
Pay
- $28.00-$30.00 per hour
- Scheduled for 40.0 to 50.0 hours weekly, with occasional longer shifts
What you'll do
- Drive pick-up trucks and other commercial vehicles on waste collection routes
- Inspect your vehicle daily and flag any maintenance needs
- Keep your truck and equipment clean and in safe working order
- Fill out logs, work orders, inspections and incident reports
- Follow dispatch directions and stay in touch with the Operations Manager
- Spot and report workplace hazards, and help improve safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Class 5 licence with Air Brake (Q) endorsement
- Clean driver's abstract
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-4 years of commercial driving experience preferred; waste industry background a plus
- Comfortable with basic computer work and electronic paperwork
- Good vehicle backing, maneuvering and spotting ability
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Must pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test and background check
- English required
