About this job
Drive local routes out of City of Industry, CA and be back home every day. You'll haul a mix of freight, including refrigerated loads, hazmat, flatbed or tanker shipments, using a manual transmission tractor-trailer.

Home time

What you'll haul
- Refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed and tanker loads, or general freight
- Loading and unloading cargo by hand as needed, following safety procedures for each freight type
What you'll do
- Run local delivery routes, following FMCSA and DOT rules at all times
- Plan routes using GPS to keep deliveries on schedule
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Keep accurate logs, delivery paperwork and cargo records
- Stay in touch with dispatch and customers to confirm schedules and handle any issues
Requirements
- Valid CDL with a clean driving record
- Experience preferred with manual transmission trucks
- Background in local commercial driving or route delivery
- Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat safety rules
- Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or standard tractor-trailers
- Comfortable manually loading and unloading freight safely
- Familiar with GPS route planning for local delivery work
