Local CDL Truck Driver — $1,000–$1,500/wk

Our company runs local delivery routes under an Amazon contract and needs a Local Commercial Truck Driver to keep freight moving on time. You'll handle tractor-trailers, dry van, refrigerated trailers and containers while staying on top of safety rules along the way.

Pay

• $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Dry van, refrigerated trailers, containers and other specialized trailers on local runs

• Loads may require manual unloading, so cargo must be secured and weight balanced correctly

What the job involves

• Running designated local delivery routes using GPS for navigation and scheduling

• Checking loads and paperwork, and confirming proper weight distribution before heading out

• Doing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to stay within DOT standards

• Logging your hours, deliveries and vehicle maintenance per DOT rules

• Staying in contact with dispatch on route changes, delivery progress and any problems on the road

Requirements

• Must pass an Amazon background check

• Valid CDL with a clean driving history

• Solid background in local commercial truck driving and delivery routes

• Comfortable with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers and tractor-trailers

• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules, plus hazardous materials handling standards

• Able to safely manage manual unloading

• Skilled with GPS tools for planning and following routes

• Understands loading, unloading and cargo handling procedures

• Can drive automatic transmission

• Strong, safety-focused driving ability, including OTR routes if needed

• Physically able to handle manual tasks and long hours behind the wheel
