Local CDL Driver/Forklift Operator — $24.29–$25.36/hr

Our company needs a dependable driver who can also run a forklift, moving paper loads between their facility, the local paper mill (Bio-Origin), and the Gates Warehouse in Ladysmith. You'll also help unload outside carriers when needed.

Schedule

• Regular runs happen Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, each shift lasting about 4 to 6 hours.

• You might be called in on Monday, Wednesday or Friday if extra help is needed.

• Both full-time and part-time schedules are available.

• You load and stack product yourself at Gates Warehouse; at Bio-Origin, they handle the unloading for you.

• Staying flexible matters here: if a machine goes down at Bio-Origin, they may need trailers shuttled to a nearby building, sometimes with after-hours calls, so production can keep going.

Pay

• Starts at $24.29/hour, rising to $25.36/hour after 90 days.

• Overtime pays 1.5x your regular hourly rate.

Requirements

• Current forklift certification.

• Valid commercial driver's license and the skills to safely handle the trucks required for the job.

• Reliable availability, including occasional after-hours calls.

• Capable of safely loading, hauling and unloading materials.

• Follows all required safety procedures.
