About this job
Our company is looking for a Class B CDL driver to run a local flatbed route out of Miami, FL, delivering solo within Florida and getting home every day.
Pay
- Pay starts at $25.00 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours
- Weekly paychecks, averaging $1288 or more per week on this account
- Paid training included
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, with an occasional half-day on Saturday
- Dispatch in the morning
- Expect 48 or more hours of work per week
What you'll haul
- Local route, home every day
- You'll drive a 26ft straight flatbed truck with a rear-mounted forklift
- Freight is touch: you'll strap loads and unload at delivery sites
Equipment and support
Trucks are kept in safe, well-maintained condition, backed by 24/7 roadside help and fueling access at more than 800 locations across the country.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Able to pass our company's drug screening, background check, motor vehicle check and DOT physical
- Able to pass a our company road test
- Hold the correct CDL and endorsements for this role
- Verifiable Class A or Class B tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years
- Comfortable following instructions and applying relevant regulations and procedures
Some assignments may require extra background screening, employment or education checks, or customer-specific badging.
What you'll do
- Follow applicable federal, state and company safety rules
- Spot and reduce safety hazards on the job
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Help load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Handle other duties as assigned
