Local CDL-A Yard Driver — $24.00–$25.50/hr, Home Daily

Our company is hiring a CDL-A Yard Driver in Lawrence, KS. You'll stay on one site all shift, shuttling trailers around the yard instead of driving the highway or making customer stops. Expect steady, repeatable work with a schedule you can count on.

What the work looks like

• You move trailers around the yard and between dock doors

• You do drop and hook work

• You complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• You follow company safety rules and procedures

• You stay in contact with dispatch and yard staff

• You keep accurate logs and paperwork

Home time and schedule

You're home every day, with a consistent schedule, minimal highway driving, and no multi-stop customer deliveries. The freight isn't touched by hand.

Pay

• Base pay of $24.00 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential

• Overtime available after 40 hours

• Paid weekly

• Referral bonus of up to $2,000 per hired and retained referral

• Pay range listed: $24.00-25.50 per hour

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Current DOT medical card

• Clean driving history

• Prior experience handling tractor-trailers

• Comfortable working outdoors in any weather

• Able to climb in and out of the truck repeatedly through the shift
