About this job
Our company is looking for a solo CDL-A driver to run local routes around Central FL out of Lakeland, FL, getting you home every day with no-touch freight.
Pay
- Weekly pay averaging $1,200 to $1,600
- $0.59 per mile, averaging 1,500 miles per week
- $18.00 per stop, averaging 40 stops per week
- Paid training
Schedule
- Local, home daily routes
- Choose from Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday shifts
- Start time around 7:00 AM
What you'll haul
- Solo deliveries throughout Central FL
- Day cab automatic tractors pulling 53' dry van or 48' flatbed trailers
- Strapping required on flatbed loads
- Freight is no-touch
Equipment and support
- Well-maintained trucks backed by 24/7 roadside assistance and fueling at more than 800 locations nationwide
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with the right endorsements for the role
- Tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
- Must pass our company's drug test, background and motor vehicle check (including prior-employer drug and alcohol history for the last 3 years), DOT physical and road test
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Some assignments may require added background checks, employment/education verification, or customer badging
Responsibilities
- Follow applicable laws and safety regulations
- Spot and reduce safety hazards
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Handle other assigned tasks
