Local CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, From $28.61/hr

Our company is hiring a local Class A truck driver in Albany, GA. You run tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, and you are home every day. Pay starts at $28.61 per hour.

Pay and home time

• Starting pay is $28.61 per hour

• You are home daily

• Day shift, and the position is exempt under the Motor Carrier Act

What you'll do

• Drive tractor-trailers, including doubles and triples, hauling hazardous and non-hazardous freight

• Load and unload freight, and run a forklift when needed

• Serve customers well and pass along sales leads

Requirements

• You are at least 21 with a valid Class A CDL and a safe driving record

• You hold hazmat, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements, or will get them within 90 days of starting

• You pass a DOT drug test, with no positive result or refusal in the last 3 years

• You have a valid DOT medical card, or you pass a DOT physical paid by the company

• You can work a flexible schedule of up to 12-14 hours a day, covering days, nights and weekends

• You read and speak English well enough to meet DOT rules

• Forklift experience is a plus

Physical demands

• Lift up to 50 lbs often and more than 75 lbs sometimes, and move a converter dolly

• Climb in and out of the cab and trailer, and work outdoors in any weather

• Drive up to 11 hours in a row
