About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL driver to run a local, home-daily route out of Richmond, CA, delivering to Sacramento. You'll be driving solo for a steady account with weekly pay and full benefits.
Pay
- $33.05 per hour, paid weekly
- our company reports drivers on this account earning $1,500 or more per week
- Plan on 45+ hours weekly
- Paid training included
Schedule
- Tuesday through Friday, with occasional Monday or Saturday work
- Start time is either 5:00 AM or 10:30 PM
- Route runs local, and you're home every day
What you'll haul
- Solo route from Richmond to Sacramento
- Touch freight: beverages
- Equipment includes straight trucks and day cabs, plus reefer trailers in 16', 24', 26', 48' and 53' sizes
- You'll use a manual pallet jack, hand truck and lift gate; our company trains you on all of it
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside support and a large maintenance network
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements
- One of the following tractor-trailer experience levels: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
- Must pass a drug screen, background check, motor vehicle record review, DOT physical and road test, plus verification of drug and alcohol history from past employers over the last 3 years
- Comfortable following instructions and applying relevant rules and procedures
- Some assignments may require extra screening such as employment/education checks or customer-specific badging
Responsibilities
- Follow all applicable safety laws and regulations
- Spot and reduce safety risks on the job
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Help load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Handle other assigned tasks as needed
