Local CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, $27.89/hr

Our company is looking for a Class A CDL driver to run a local route out of Tampa, FL, delivering US Mail within a 150-mile radius. You'll be home every day and get paid weekly.

Pay

• $27.89 per hour, paid weekly

• Possible $5.55 health and welfare stipend

• Average weekly earnings of $1115 to $1337

• Paid training included

Schedule

• 40 to 44 hours per week

• Works Monday through Saturday

• Shifts start between 12:00 AM and 4:00 AM

What you'll haul

• Solo local route, home daily, within 150 miles of Tampa, FL

• Dry van tractor and 53' dry van trailer

• Touch freight: US Mail, moved using rolling carts

• our company provides training on all the equipment you'll use

• Trucks are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside support and fueling at over 800 maintenance locations nationwide

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL with the right endorsements for this route

• Tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years

• Must pass a drug test, background check, motor vehicle record check, DOT physical and road test, plus verification of drug and alcohol history from employers over the past 3 years

• Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures

• Because this route serves USPS, you'll also need to pass a Federal Level 2 background screen, and men born after December 31, 1959 must be registered with Selective Service unless legally exempt

• Some assignments may require extra checks, such as work history or education verification, or customer-specific badging

Responsibilities

• Follow applicable federal and state transportation laws and company safety rules

• Spot and reduce safety risks on the job

• Keep accurate logs and paperwork

• Help load or unload freight when the customer requires it

• Other duties as assigned
