Local CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, $26.77/hr + Stipend

Our company is looking for a solo Class A CDL driver to run local routes out of Sarasota, FL, delivering US Mail on dry van trailers and getting home every day.

Pay

• $26.77 per hour, plus a $5.36 per hour health and welfare stipend

• Weekly paychecks totaling about $1070-$1284 or more

• Average of 35-40 hours per week

Schedule and home time

• Home daily on a local route within 150 air miles of Sarasota, FL

• 7-day operation with one day off during the week

• Dispatch starts between 3:00 AM and 10:00 AM

What you'll haul

• Day cab tractor pulling 48' and 53' dry van trailers

• US Mail freight, with some touch required (loading/unloading as needed)

• Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside maintenance at over 800 locations nationwide

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL with the needed endorsements

• Qualifying tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5 years, or 5 years in the past 10 years

• Must pass a our company drug test, background check, motor vehicle check, and DOT physical, plus a our company road test

• Because this account serves the USPS, you'll need to clear a federal Level 2 background screen, and males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered with Selective Service (unless legally exempt)

• Comfortable following written and verbal instructions and applying relevant rules and regulations

Responsibilities

• Follow applicable federal and state transportation rules

• Spot and reduce safety risks on the job

• Keep accurate logs and records

• Help load or unload freight when the customer requires it
