About this job
Our company in Omaha, NE is looking for a local CDL-A driver to run delivery routes close to home. You'll handle a mix of equipment, including flatbeds, tankers and dump trucks, moving freight around the local area.
Pay
- $24.00 to $32.00 per hour
What you'll do
- Drive tractor-trailers on assigned local routes, following all traffic and safety rules
- Check your rig before and after each trip, inspecting brakes, lights, tires and how the load is secured
- Keep delivery logs, route records and receipts up to date
- Stay in touch with dispatch and customers to line up pickups and drop-offs, with good customer service
- Help plan routes for efficiency while keeping safety a priority
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with solid experience behind the wheel of a commercial truck
- Familiarity with DOT safety rules for trucking
- Good local navigation skills and a track record of on-time driving
- Experience with specialized gear such as side dump units, tankers or flatbeds is a plus
