Local CDL-A Tractor Trailer Driver — $20–$21/hr

Our company needs a CDL-A tractor trailer driver to run local loads of MSW and C&D garbage from transfer stations to nearby landfills. This is a full-time, local company-driver position with steady hours.

Pay

• $20.00 to $21.00 per hour

• Expect 60 to 70 hours per week

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed

What you'll haul

• Semi-trailer loads of municipal solid waste and construction and demolition debris

• Routes run between transfer stations and local landfills

What the job involves

• Drive tractor-trailer combinations on assigned local routes

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and log any problems found

• Keep deliveries on schedule while watching fuel use

• Track your hours, mileage and load information accurately

• Stay in touch with dispatch about delays, route changes or other issues on the road

• Follow traffic laws and company safety rules at all times

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license with solid driving experience

• Comfortable with local routes and tractor-trailer equipment

• Manual transmission experience is a plus but not required

• Understanding of FMCSA regulations and commercial driving safety standards

• Waste industry background is helpful but not mandatory
