About this job
Our company is looking for a local CDL-A tanker driver in Farmerville, LA to handle liquid bulk deliveries to customer sites.
What you'll haul
- Liquid bulk products delivered by tanker trailer
- You'll load and unload at customer locations, connecting and disconnecting hoses and running pumps and valves to fill tanks safely using different hose, nozzle and fitting sizes
- You'll also cross-train to run bobtail
Schedule
Expect to work nights, weekends and extended workweeks as needed.
What you'll do
- Follow delivery instructions and stay compliant with DOT, company and customer safety and operating rules
- Handle loading and unloading professionally, safely and on time
- Use the onboard systems (Smartlogix, Qualcomm) as directed
- Fill out paperwork correctly and on schedule
- Report any accidents or spills following company procedure
- Take on other tasks your manager assigns
Requirements
- At least 23 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Minimum 1 year of experience hauling liquid bulk in a tanker trailer
- Valid DOT medical card
- Clean driving record
- May need to pass site-specific drug testing, which can include hair follicle testing
- A genuine focus on safety, compliance and taking care of customers
