Our company in Saint Gabriel, LA is looking for a local CDL-A tanker driver to haul hazardous and non-hazardous liquids on local routes. You'll need solid tanker handling skills and a strong focus on safety and compliance.

- $75,000.00 per year
What you'll haul
- Hazardous and non-hazardous liquids in tanker trailers, including temperature-sensitive loads that need careful handling
What you'll do
- Drive tractor-trailer tanker combinations on local routes, following DOT, FMCSA and hazmat rules
- Load, secure and unload cargo while keeping it intact and compliant with hazardous materials rules
- Use GPS to plan efficient routes and hit delivery windows
- Perform full pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including manual checks tied to loading and unloading
- Keep accurate records of hours, deliveries and cargo paperwork per DOT rules
- Stay in contact with dispatch on route changes, delivery updates and any safety issues
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with hazmat and tanker endorsements
- TWIC card
- Ability to drive a 10-speed manual transmission
- Clean driving record with a strong safety track record
- Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT standards and hazmat handling procedures
- Available to cover all local work assigned during the week
