About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL driver for a local intermodal route hauling containers around the Los Angeles and Inland Empire area. You'll be home every day with steady freight on an established intermodal account.
Pay
- $19.25 per hour
- $18.71 per stop
- Average weekly earnings of $1,400 to $1,800
Home time
- Home daily
Schedule
- Works Tuesday through Saturday, 5 days a week
- Night shift, starting somewhere between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM
- Extra days available if you want them, but not required
What you'll haul
- Containers moving through the LA and Inland Empire region, with runs to rail ramps in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Commerce, City of Industry and Bloomington
- Some routes head north over the Grapevine toward Shafter and Lebec
- Mix of drop-and-hook and live-load container freight, no touch required
- Slip-seat setup, with trucks based at the yard in Bell Gardens, CA
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 6 months of Class A driving experience in the past year
- Must live within 25 miles of Los Angeles, CA
