Our company is looking for CDL-A drivers to run a dedicated local grocery route out of Perryville, MD. You'll be home every day, running consistent routes with steady weekly pay.
Pay
- Base pay of $0.50–$0.54 per mile depending on experience
- Extra $20 for each stop and $55 per load
- $150 in weekly supplemental pay
- $50 metro pay bonus for deliveries to NY stores
- Drivers typically bring home around $1,700 a week, with top performers earning $2,100 or more
- Annual pay for this route runs roughly $89,000 to $111,000
Home time
- Home every day
- Shifts start between 6:00 PM and 1:00 AM
- Runs are available all seven days of the week
What you'll haul
- Dedicated grocery freight in multi-temperature reefer trailers
- Palletized deliveries to store rooms, with multiple stops on each route
- You'll need to unload using an electric pallet jack, with items weighing up to 75 lbs
- Routes average about 1,600 miles weekly, including bringing reload returns back to the distribution center
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL
- At least 3 months of tractor-trailer driving experience within the past year
- Your own way to get to and from work, since company trucks stay on site
