About this job
Our company has a local flatbed opening in Eldridge, Iowa, hauling steel beams and bundles to several customers each day. It's a temp-to-hire role with a Monday-through-Friday schedule and an early morning start.
Pay
- $35 per hour, plus overtime
- Weekly gross is estimated around $1,400
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, dispatch at 4:30 AM
- Shifts run 5 to 10 hours
- Routes cover local and regional stops across Iowa and Illinois, typically 7 to 15 per day
What you'll haul
- Flatbed or Conestoga trailer
- Steel beams and bundles
- You'll need to chain, strap, and tarp the loads yourself
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 9 months of recent, verifiable CDL driving experience
- A minimum of 3 months flatbed experience
- No major violations or preventable accidents on your driving record for the past 3 years
- Must satisfy all DOT and FMCSA standards
