About this job
Our company needs a local CDL-A driver in Kansas City, KS to haul pallet loads to and from customers using a semi-tractor. You'll be home every night, working roughly 50 hours a week depending on volume.
Pay
- Starts at $29.00 per hour
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, with weekend work as needed
- About 50 hours weekly, varying with workload
- Local routes with nightly home time
What you'll haul
- Pallets delivered to and picked up from local customers on flatbed trailers
- You'll secure and strap down pallet loads yourself
What the job involves
- Running pre-trip inspections, e-logs and trip paperwork per DOT rules
- Handling both single and tandem axle tractors
- Taking care of minor trailer repairs when needed
- Keeping your cab clean and organized
- Working independently and representing the company well with customers and coworkers
- Lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- At least 2 years of CDL-A driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and physical
- Flatbed or Cyntrx experience is a plus, not required
