About this job
Our company has a local, dedicated solo driving role on the Walmart account based out of Shafter, CA. You'll run no-touch freight from the Walmart distribution center to spots across southern California and be back home every day.
Pay
- Drivers average $65,000 per year, with the top 10% earning up to $81,000 annually*
- Paid by mileage band, plus detention and stop pay
- Extra incentives for safety and on-time performance
Home time
- Home every day, with 2 days off in a row each week (schedules like Mon/Tues, Tues/Wed, Wed/Thurs or Thurs/Fri)
- Expect to work weekends as part of the rotation
- Most loads leave the distribution center between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM
What you'll haul
- Deliveries run from the Walmart DC in Shafter, CA (2701 Driver Road) out to southern California locations, typically 2-3 stops per run, with a backhaul to the DC
- Freight is 100% no-touch, loaded in dry van and reefer trailers
- You'll drive newer automatic-transmission trucks in a slip-seat setup
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with at least 3 months of current driving experience
- Not open to students, recent grads, or trainees
- Must be 21 or older
- Must pass a DOT drug screen
