Local CDL-A Driver — Home Daily, Avg $1,484/wk

Drive a dedicated Walmart account out of Shafter, CA, running no-touch dry van and reefer freight from the Walmart DC to delivery points across Southern California. You'll be home every day, typically getting 2 days off in a row each week.

Routes and schedule

• Dedicated account based at the Walmart DC, 2701 Driver Road, Shafter, CA

• Usually 2-3 stops per run, with a backhaul returning to the DC

• Deliveries go from the Shafter Walmart DC to various Southern California locations

• Home every day, with 2 consecutive days off per week (for example Mon/Tues, Tues/Wed, Wed/Thurs, or Thurs/Fri)

• Weekend work should be expected as part of the rotation

• Most loads leave the DC between 1500 and 2100

• Slip-seat operation using newer, well-kept automatic trucks pulling dry van and reefer trailers; trucks stay parked at the Shafter DC

Pay

• Weekly pay ranges from $1,434.00 to $1,624.00

• Average weekly pay is $1,484, with a top weekly pay of $1,624

• Pay structure includes mileage band pay, stop pay, detention pay, and a safe & on-time bonus

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Clean driving record and must meet DOT standards

• At least 120 hours of driving school instruction required

• Must live within 50 miles of Shafter, CA

• New graduates are welcome; training is available for those moving into regional or OTR roles

• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience is preferred
