Local CDL-A Driver — Home Daily, $23.58–$40.70+/hr

Our company is looking for local CDL-A drivers to run food delivery routes to restaurant customers, with no layovers and home every day.

Pay

• Most routes pay $23.58 - $40.70+ per hour, depending on location, shift, and day of week

• Some routes are salaried instead, averaging $75,000 - $130,000 per year

• Sign-on bonuses of up to $6,000 may be available depending on location

• Certain routes also offer shift differentials, overtime, or other incentive pay

• Paid weekly, every Friday

Home time

• Home daily, with no layovers on most routes

• Full-time local schedules, usually 4 days on and 3 days off, though some locations run 5-day weeks

• Start times vary by location and can fall in early morning, afternoon, or overnight hours

• You'll need to be available nights, weekends, and holidays since the operation runs 24/7

• Shifts typically last 10 - 14 hours, with drivers averaging 40 - 50 hours per week

What you'll haul

• You'll drive a diesel tractor-trailer on local routes delivering food products to restaurants

• Routes involve 5 - 22 stops per day depending on the assignment

• All trailers have lift gates, not ramps

• This is 100% touch freight, so you'll load and unload using hand trucks or pallet jacks and need to lift up to 75+ lbs

• Some positions are union routes represented by the Teamsters

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Current DOT medical card

• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving and delivery experience

• Able to lift 5 - 75+ lbs, stay physically active on shift, and work in coolers and freezers

• Comfortable communicating with dispatch, store staff, and other drivers

• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays

• Able to perform vehicle inspections, keep accurate DOT logs, and meet DOT requirements, including reading and speaking English as required

Benefits

• Medical, dental, and vision coverage, available after just 30 days on most routes

• 401(k) plan

• Paid holidays and vacation

• Company-provided uniforms and work shoes
