Local CDL-A Delivery Driver — $32.75/hr, Home Daily

This is a local last-mile delivery route based out of St. Paul, MN, hauling Ross department store freight with a day cab and 53-foot box trailer. You'll be home every night, earn strong hourly pay, and get a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Pay

• $32.75 an hour, straight time, with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours a week (actual weekly hours tend to run closer to 60)

• Average annual earnings land around $90,000 a year

• Holiday pay of $262.00 per holiday worked

• $5,000 sign-on bonus for a limited time

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, plus about 2 Saturdays a month (every Saturday during peak season Nov–Dec and March–April)

• Early rollouts around 2:00 AM

• Shifts run 10 to 12 hours on predictable, static routes

• Home every night

What you'll haul

• Day cab pulling a standard 53-foot box trailer

• Freight delivered to Ross stores within a 250-mile radius of St. Paul

• You'll swap trailers live with a linehaul driver in Black River Falls, WI on set weekly routes

• Expect heavy manual unloading: 50 to 300 boxes per stop, 500 to 700 per trailer, boxes from 2 to 100 lbs (mostly 30-60 lbs), stacked floor to ceiling; a pallet jack is used occasionally for palletized drops

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 6 months of tractor-trailer driving experience

• Able to handle strenuous, hands-on freight unloading
