Local CDL-A Delivery Driver — $28–$36/hr, Home Every Night

Our company is looking for a CDL-A delivery driver in Bakersfield, CA to bring food and supplies to local customer sites. You'll run local routes Monday through Friday and be home every night.

Pay

• Base rate of $28.00hr to $36.00hr, depending on your experience, education, skills and location

• Eligible for overtime pay

• Paid training included

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• Shifts begin between 3am and 3pm and run until the route is done

• Local routes with nightly return home

What you'll haul

• Meats, produce, frozen items, groceries, dry goods, equipment and supplies

• Deliveries go to customer drop-off locations

What the job involves

• Meeting delivery windows while keeping up productivity

• Unloading freight with a hand truck into customer storage areas

• Lifting up to 80 pounds repeatedly throughout your shift

• Making multiple stops per shift, including in bad weather

• Confirming deliveries with customers and collecting payment (cash or check) when required

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid CDL-A from your state of residence with required endorsements and DOT qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• No more than two traffic violation convictions in the last two years

• No DUI convictions in the past three years

• No license suspensions in the past three years

• At least six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or three months specifically in food and beverage delivery

• Able to pass a DOT physical
