About this job
Helena Agri-Enterprises is looking for a local truck driver based in Saint Marys, KS. You'll be home every night, paid hourly, and your benefits kick in from day one.
What you'll do
- Load and unload trailers using a forklift or hand truck
- Drive assigned routes to deliver loads to the right destinations
- Handle shipping paperwork, including getting required signatures and returning completed documents to the office
- Clear empty skids from the trailer and stack them in the designated area
- Check fluids (oil, water, fuel) and tire pressure on your vehicle daily
- Represent Helena professionally with customers and coworkers
- Follow all company policies and show up reliably for your shifts
Requirements
- Class A or B CDL
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred, not required
- Able to read, write and speak English; Spanish is a plus
- Valid U.S. driver's license meeting Helena's vehicle requirements
- Must pass a drug test and background check
Work environment
You'll split time between outdoor driving in all weather and warehouse work around moving equipment, with possible exposure to noise, fumes, dust and other hazards. The job involves standing up to 8+ hours, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs or more, overhead reaching up to 25 lbs, plus climbing, bending, stooping and gripping tasks. Helena prioritizes safety and takes steps to limit exposure to hazards.
