About this job
Our company, a family-run carrier operating since 1945, needs LCV (Long Combination Vehicle) certified drivers based out of Ontario or Nova Scotia. You'll run round trips between Toronto and Halifax, hauling temperature-controlled TL/LTL freight, with your home terminal determining your direction.
What you'll haul
- Temperature-controlled TL/LTL shipments moving between the Toronto and Halifax areas
- Pickups and drop-offs as assigned along the route
Pay
- Paid weekly based on mileage rates plus accessorial pay items
- Guaranteed Daily Pay available
- Scheduled for 40 to 50 hours per week, with overtime kicking in past 60 hours
Equipment
- Late-model trucks, including auto-shift options
- A company car is available for use during downtime at select locations
Requirements
- Valid LCV certification is mandatory
- At least 5 years of verifiable AZ or Class 1 driving experience
- Clean police background check
- Clean driver's abstract (CVOR if you're in Ontario)
- Must pass a drug test
- Experience with Automatic Onboard Recorders is a plus
