About this job
Our company needs LCV certified drivers for round trip runs between Toronto and Halifax, based out of an Ontario or Nova Scotia home terminal depending on where you're located. Eassons has run dry and temperature-controlled TL/LTL freight across Canada and the US since 1945, with around 350 trucks and 500+ employee partners.
The run
- Round trips hauling TL/LTL temperature-controlled shipments between the Toronto and Halifax area
- Handles the pickups and drops you're assigned along the route
- 40 to 50 hours per week, with overtime kicking in past 60 hours
Pay
- Paid weekly based on mileage rates plus accessorial pay
- Guaranteed daily pay available
Equipment
- Newer trucks, including auto-shift options
- Company car provided for personal use during downtime at select terminals
Requirements
- At least 5 years of verifiable AZ or Class 1 driving experience
- Must hold LCV (Long Combination Vehicle) certification
- Clean police background check, clean driver's abstract (CVOR in Ontario) and clean drug test
- Experience with Automatic Onboard Recorders is a plus
