About this job
Our company is hiring package delivery drivers out of Covington, LA to run routes for FedEx Ground. No CDL is needed, and this can grow from a seasonal spot into a permanent one over time.
Pay
- $170 per day, paid weekly
- Sign-on bonus
- Paid training
Schedule
- 5 days per week, including one weekend day
- Options: Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday, or Monday-Saturday
- Flexible scheduling
What you'll do
- Drive a company-supplied vehicle to drop off packages on time and in good condition
- Load and unload freight, and lift items up to 150 lbs in and out of the truck to each delivery point
- Map out efficient routes while following traffic and safety rules
- Check paperwork and package accuracy for every stop
- Keep customers happy with friendly, professional service
- Stay in touch with dispatch on scheduling and any delays
- Keep the vehicle clean and report any damage, crashes, or violations right away
- Follow all company safety and delivery procedures
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Courier experience is a plus but not required
- Solid grasp of traffic and safety laws
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and juggling tasks in a fast-paced setting
