About this job
Our company is looking for a delivery driver in Santa Fe Springs, CA to get packages to customers safely and on time. You'll drive box trucks or similar vehicles on set routes, handle the loading and unloading yourself, and represent the company well at every stop.
Pay
- $21.00 to $22.00 per hour
- About 40 hours a week
What you'll do
- Drive box trucks or personal vehicles on delivery routes, following all traffic laws and DOT rules
- Load, unload and secure packages by hand or with equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Use a mobile device to plan routes and keep deliveries on schedule
- Hand off packages to homes and businesses with friendly, professional service
- Check your vehicle regularly to make sure it's safe to drive
- Lift and carry heavy or bulky items using proper lifting technique
- Keep delivery logs and records updated during your shift
Requirements
- Background in delivery driving, courier work or warehouse handling of heavy items
- Comfortable driving box trucks, vans or other large vehicles
- Able to navigate routes using a mobile device
- Solid understanding of traffic laws and DOT standards for commercial vehicles
- Strong customer service skills and a professional manner with clients
- Experience with pallet jacks or moving carts
- Physically able to lift heavy items regularly and safely
