Class 5 Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver — $23.31/hr

Our company, a distributor of pipe, valves, fittings and piping accessories in Dartmouth, NS, needs a combined Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver. You will deliver customer orders, handle warehouse tasks, and keep service running smoothly between the yard and the road.

Pay

• $23.31 per hour

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

• Must be flexible and available for overtime

What you'll do

• Deliver scheduled orders safely and on time, plus handle vendor pickups and second-run deliveries

• Load and unload trailers, pick and restock orders, and ship product using hand trucks and mechanical equipment

• Stay in touch with customers and sales staff about delivery or service issues

• Report any damage to equipment or shipments

• Keep your truck safe and well maintained, and maintain a clean driving record

• Take on other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 10 years of driving experience in warehousing or distribution

• At least 1 year of driving experience at or above this license level, including air brake endorsement

• Valid Class 5 driver's license (Nova Scotia) or provincial equivalent

• Clean personal and commercial driving abstracts

• Able to lift 50 lbs consistently

• Forklift and pipe yard experience preferred; valid forklift license is a plus

• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and comfortable juggling competing priorities under time pressure

• Industry or product knowledge is a plus

• 3 years of commercial driving experience preferred

• Must be authorized to work in Canada; sponsorship is not offered
